Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that his young French star Samir Nasri will go onto become a big success story at the club for years to come.
The 21-year-old moved to Emirates Stadium last summer and has had a quiet start to his first season in the Premier League with flashes of brilliance being shown here and there.
With injuries to creative midfielders Francesc Fabregas and Tomas Rosicky, the French international of Algerian descent has taken on added responsibility for the team in recent months.
His manager believes that he is in the mould of former Arsenal star Robert Pires, who was instrumental in the side that went 49 Premier League games unbeaten.
Wenger is quoted by The Press Association as saying, "Nasri is meant to have a bright future with Arsenal.People tend to forget that Pires arrived at the age of 27, and Samir was 21. Yes, he reminds me of him, but he can also play in a more central position.
"He is the kind of player that can score, dribble and there is more to come from him, even if I think that he has settled pretty well.
"Creative players are essential in our style of football.
"We want to keep the ball on the ground and pass the ball quickly, as a consequence, we need players capable of making it because right now we face teams that keep with 10 men behind the ball."
With the arrival of Andrei Arshavin at the club, Arsenal now have enough creative players to be able to end the season on a high after a shaky start to the league campaign.
